Same thing happens with large zeds and crawlers: The big zed does an attack that launches him forward, clips into the crawler and rides it like a surfboard making it seem like he teleports into your face, and because of his huge mass he'll land on your head and since he has nowhere else to land, it'll just telefrag you. In KF1 I had more deaths to FPs than anything else. In my head the flesh pound should be worse. I feel scrakes are tougher at the moment than flesh pounds. I just wanted to share my opinion here in this thread. One time on Burning Paris inside the hotel bridgeway that goes over the fountain area, a crawler came from a vent and landed on an ally's head, but because it had nowhere else to land besides the player's head it instead dealt tons of small ticks of damage in a really fast period, killing him in about 3 seconds. I have seen many a thread from players who are complaining scrakes are way too OP. The damage seems to scale depending on how much difficulty the zed has getting down. I've also seen the "goomba stomp" happen sometimes, where if a zed falls from the ceiling onto your head it'll deal some damage for every time it collides with your hitbox. I see gorefasts and gorefiends do it a lot, but sometimes Scrakes/FPs do it as well. It usually happens when a zed is trying to get around a large object like a Bloat or a crowded doorway, causing the zed to bounce onto a Crawler's back and ride it like a surfboard. the Kat just does not deal out damage fast enough.I know what causes this. with a Kat you would be swarmed while swat-flinching a Scrake and pummeled by a FP before you could kill it. On the crane wave a level 6 zerk on HOE solo can stand still for 2 mins.

I even made one of my own KFO map to have a wave like that. no FPs or Scrakes so the Kat is perfect for use there. like the container wave in KFO Frightyard. If I am being serious as a zerk I use the alt-fire on the Claymore, I fnd the Kat can be fun but pointless beyond that, I normally just go from axe to claymore and not waste my money on the Kat upgrade. Playing solo on Steam Fortress, the server suddenly shut down on me causing all the enemies to just lag and move slowly in whatever direction they were facing or moving when the server shut down. so a commando opening up on a scrake will have no effect beyond dealing damage.

When you have a scrake stunned he won't un-stun from fire unless he is hit with something that should stun him and misses. However the more ammo-efficient way to take down Scrakes is repeated headshots using the AA-12 Auto Shotgun. You can not un-stun a scrake being flinch-locked since he is not stunned to begin with. Whenever the Scrake is about to attack, jump and aim downwards at it, then fire both barrels at once, using the recoil to push yourself out of the Scrake's attack range. for Zerk there is the "flinch-lock" and "stun".
